Rajasthani Woman in a Red Veil

$461.00

About The Artwork

Traditionally, the headwraps (chunnis or veils) allowed Rajasthani women to work in the fields beside men. This was and is still a form of veiling of women, still practiced in rural parts of Northern India like Rajasthan. Here a striking beauty dares to show us her beautiful chiseled face and big eyes.
